Broekema Beltway USA, Inc. – 25 Years and Still Rolling!

Broekema Beltway USA’s 25th year in business
Broekema Beltway USA’s 25th year in business

2014 marks Broekema Beltway USA’s 25th year in business, and as with any silver anniversary, a special celebration was in order. BBUSA staff and guests celebrated over 2 days in September. On September 21st a group of 62 Broekema Beltway USA employees, their guests, and guests from EAB Broekema, Jaeger Group, and Jager Unitek enjoyed a professional baseball game in Minneapolis, MN between the Minnesota Twins and the Cleveland Indians.

While sitting in party suites at the Target Field ballpark the employees and guests were able to visit with each other, enjoy traditional baseball fan food and beverages, and see some great baseball  (unfortunately the Twins lost, but fun was had by all).

On Monday, September 22nd the festivities continued at Broekema Beltway in Pine City, MN. The management group met in the morning to discuss the future growth of Broekema Beltway USA. A celebratory lunch was provided to all employees and the Jaeger group guests, which included a history lesson from Broekema’s President, Joop Huisman. Vice President and General Manager, Wayne Mauch, presented 25th work anniversary awards to Gigi VonLoh, Inside Sales, and Scott Nowling, Scheduling and Purchasing, to celebrate their years of service to Broekema. Each Broekema employee was given a special 25th anniversary baseball cap  and also a commerative book detailing the history of Broekema Beltway. It was very interesting to learn how George Timmer, Broekema’s first General Manager, worked with farmers to get the Broekema belt to become the standard for potato harvesters, and to see how technology and applications of our products has grown over the years.

After cake and visiting it was back to work, and heading forward into the next 25 years!
