Jäger employees are starting to try out things for themselves
Cycling is healthy, saves energy (except your own) and preserves the climate. Unbeatable reasons, which everyone in the saddle should emphasise. Even better when there’s something to win. For over 12 years in summer it’s been ‘cycle to work’, with a nationwide initiative from the ADFC and the AOK health insurance fund.
The aim: making the journey to work a fitness route on at least 20 working days, with the prospect of great prizes. Everyone can take part, as individuals or in a company team. There will be cycling at Jäger too this summer. Here colleagues report on how they’ve fared with this.
Meike K.: ‘Actually, cycling to work only has advantages: it saves time, money and nerves. In addition, I’m made to move about in the fresh air at least twice a day. For that I’ll gladly accept some uncomfortable journeys through the rain and the snow’.
Peter K.: ‘My passion for cycling is the ideal sporting compensation through which I can clear my head after a long day in the office. The regular cycling tours with our department are really good fun – above all this encourages a team spirit.’
Annette G.:‘As soon as the temperatures allow it again, then it’s ‘on your bike’ for me. No queues, no hunting for parking places, good fitness and wonderfully relaxing after an exhausting day at the office.’
